I have an old two-light fixture on the driveway side of my postwar house. This was a cheap and easy way to add motion detection without having to replace the fixture itself. All I had to do was replace the traditional floodlight bulbs with these. I just leave the light turned on, and now they automatically light up when anyone (or any critters) come or go in the dark. Now I don't have to worry about coming from or going to my car in the dark, without having leave the bulbs lit continuously for hours while I'm away. While there are cheaper ones available, they aren't as bright as these.Just screw them into the socket like a normal outdoor motion light and now your light is upgraded to motion sense/ daytime sense. I just leave the switch on now and when it gets dark if there is motion the light comes on. I just hope that they last.The best motion light detector and gets activated with our small 10 pound dog.I wanted motion detection lights but didn't want to replace the wired bases, so I found these lights with motion detection on them instead of the unit. They work amazingly well! They are really bright and the motion sensor is sensitive. I am very happy with this purchase! They are very sensitive and bright.We have a switch at the far end of the garage that we constantly have to run to in order to turn on the lights that hit the driveway. I looked for lights that are dusk to dawn and motion sensor and these work great for the price.Saw some negative reviews about it. But as I am using 2 old units bought years ago from Homedepot, they are still working great. So I give it a try to buy this new version in here as the price is better.At first the motion sensor doesn't work, as similar to the negative reviews. Nevertheless, I found a way to ensure it works. You have to power on the switch before you twist it onto the base, and it works! So glad that it doesn't disappoint me so I intended to write this review. I had another brand and size of the motion detection bulb at the side of my garage and have to make it "works" in the same way for what I encountered in here. These floodlights I have this time are brighwhite vs my old warmwhite. It focus more on the spot that it shines to, with very bright white spotlight. Unlike the warmwhite ones, the light spread wider in width, but not as bright as brightwhite lights. It's ok for me as I installed these 2 new ones at my garage driveway and it works very efficient. I highly recommended this product. Sometimes you have to judge wisely before you trust any reviews especially to the negative reviews as some of them are that product company's competitors are blackmouthing only,Initially purchased 6 bulbs in total (2 separate orders) for the outside of our home. At first they all worked great as far as brightness & coming on when motion was detected. Recently 2 of the bulbs started to randomly come on repeatedly for no reason. We contacted the seller as they were still under the warranty period. Seller requested further information (pictures and product info), this was provided immediately and we received confirmation our replacement request had been sent to the returns queue and that the ticketing system does not allow them to monitor this queue so they will have no further updates to offer until return has been fully processed at which time they will provide a tracking number. This was sent Dec 01 2021. We sent another email last week requesting a status update and have yet to receive a response…very disappointed in the way this was handled (or in this case hasn’t been handled).I’m happy purchasing these light bulbs as my porch and sideway lighting, since I’m no longer need to turn them on at night. It works as I expected. I was long for one like these but got twice wrong because they are either triggered only by movement not the day and night or smart light bulbs I need to control by blue tooth or wifi. If you are looking for light bulbs that’s only turn on at the day time and turn off at night, and nothing fancy like smart light bulbs, this is the best options for you. Some smart light bulbs are required to have bridge or other connector with it, which is out of my budget. With these, I can isolate them with the rest of my other smart things. S'allument et s'éteignent automatiquement !!!.....On peut les utiliser dans les lampes d'architecte standard (E26, 60 Watts) ou avec globe lumineux de même envergure.Very good brightness but motion detection and dusk to dawn operation is intermittent. I have installed these bulbs out side my garage and pointing to my driveway. Motion detection and Dusk to dawn is not working properly on colder days. Sometimes Bulb stays on for all night.I think manufacturer didn't test it for harsh cold weather conditions. I am talking about Central Canada -15 C to -40 C ranges.
